The Scafol web portal and iOS/Android App has made our survey and report writing process much more efficient and time saving. It allows us to capture data on site quickly and accurately. It includes innovative solutions to record damp readings, take site plans and an autosave feature so that work is not lost. For me, the most efficient feature is the ability to capture photos within the app and have these automatically imbed into the report, saving an enormous amount of time when compared to the old way of inserting images into a word processing document.

I can go back and forth through the various sections confident none of the work will be lost. There is no buffering or glitches and the software has a high-end feel.

The Scafol APP needs little training to get to know how to record surveys, it works offline, the sections flow in a logical order and it is very easy to return back to any section if further information is found e.g. adding breathable sarking felt to the roof ventilation section when the roof void is inspected later in the survey.

Photographs are readily added and really neat features allow you to quickly select whether a photograph is added to a report or even to move the photograph to another section. Videos can also be easily added to avoid making sketches of site plans. There is also a feature to record the moisture content and location of damp readings directly onto floor plans and everything is automatically saved as the survey progresses.
